Colours Awards Ceremony for 2023

Mahamaya nestled amongst the hill of Kandy, overlooking the still waters of the Kandy lake had its colours night on the 12 Nov 2024. Gracing the occasion as chief guest was Dr. Nilmini Wickremeratne Dorabawila who was a silver and bronze medalist at 1991 SAF and Asia Pacific games respectively. The amazing talents of our young sportswomen were celebrated on this day with more than 100 colours women who have placed in national and all island tournaments. A new title was introduced as princess of sports to our little chess champion, who has represented Sri Lanka multiple times in the under 7 category.
Another highlight was the president guides awards – never has there been this many form any school. The sportswoman of 2023 was given to our young champion in Karate. It was a glorious night of dazzling stars moving across the stage for their awards and entertainment with different gymnastics and martial art and dances. Well done Mahamaya. May you have many more years of champions coming out of your nest.
