In Loving Memory: Our Prayers and Blessings for Sister Amitha Kiridena

Amitha Kiridena was a member of the Colombo PPA from its instillation. Until recently the PPA was using her original handwritten constitution which she knew by heart, every word. We used to call her the walking constitution, the knowledge of its content, only a phone call away. She was an active committee member until the recent years and then a patron, always looking after the wellbeing of the association. She tried to help in anyway she could to make our events a success. Calling others to participate, participating when ever she could even though her knees gave her great pain. She came for the Bana Deshanawa held on the 28th of September, hands held in worship, listening to the timeless dhamma of the Enlightened one.
She passed away on the 12th of February 2025. Her beautiful and dignified presence will dearly be missed.
